PM Viswakarma Yojana

PM Viswakarma Yojana, full name of yojana is PM Viswakarma kaushal samman yojana also known as PM Vikas Yojana or PM Viswakarma scheme. It was announced by finance minister Smt Nirmala Sitaraman during her 2023-24 budget speech. Also during the speech given by PM Modi on Independence day at Red fort.

It was launched on 17 sep 23 on Viswakarma Jayanti by the Union Cabinet minister. As per budget, the government of India had reserved an amount of 13000 crore for the smooth implementation of PM Viswakarma Yojana. The main objectives behind launching of PM Viswakarma Yojana are to enhance artist, craftsmen who are dependent on old traditional ways of making money. It also includes for small business owners for financial support and help them to grow their business by providing capital support.

1. Applicant should be an Indian resident.
2. Applicants should atleast have the skill of artisans or craftsmen.
3. Age of applicants should be 18 and above.
4. Applicants shouldn’t availed the benefits of PMEGP, PM SVNidhi or Mudra Loan.

The initial implementation of the PM Viswakarma Yojana presently includes coverage for eighteen different traditions. Later, more trades will be included.

10.Sculptor (Moortikar, Stone Carver),
11.Stone Breaker. Potter. (Kumhaar)
12.Goldsmith. (Sonar) 13.Locksmith.
14.Hammer and Tool Kit Maker.
15.Blacksmith.
16.(Lohar) Armourer.

1. Eligibility Check: Ensure you possess artistic or craftsmanship skills to qualify for PM Vishwakarma Yojana.

2. Visit Official Website: Go to the official PM Vishwakarma Yojana website.

3. Access Login Option: Look for the login option in the website’s sidebar.

4. Register as an Artisan: Within the login option, select the “Register Artisan” choice.

5. Enter Details: Provide your mobile number and solve the captcha. Next, enter your Aadhar number; both will be verified using OTP.

6. Registration Form: After verification, a registration form for PM Vishwakarma Yojana will appear on your screen.

7. Fill Basic Information: Complete the form with your name, address, and trade-related details.

8. Submit the Form: Click the “Submit” button to send your registration information.

9. Download Digital ID and Certificate: Download your PM Vishwakarma Digital ID and Certificate for future reference.

10. Login Again: Revisit the PM Vishwakarma Yojana Portal and log in.

11. Apply for Scheme Components: Apply for various components of the scheme through your account.

12. Document Upload: Upload all necessary documents as required by the scheme.

13. Submit Application: Submit your application form for PM Vishwakarma Yojana consideration.

14. Verification Process: Concerned officials will verify the received applications.

15. Loan Disbursement: With the assistance of Commercial Banks, Regional Rural Banks, and other Financial Institutions, collateral-free loans will be disbursed among eligible beneficiaries.

16. Alternate Registration: Artists and Craftsmen can also register and apply for PM Vishwakarma Yojana by visiting their nearest CSC Center.

17. Future Mobile App: Keep an eye out for the upcoming PM Vishwakarma Yojana Mobile App, which will simplify the registration process.

The following documents is expected to be needed at the time of applying for PM Vishwakarma Yojana :-
1.Aadhar Card.
2.Voter Identity Card.
3.Proof of Occupation.
4.Mobile Number.
5.Bank Account Details.
6.Income Certificate.
7.Caste Certificate. (If Applicable)

Loan Amount: Eligible Artists and Craftsmen can receive a loan of up to Rs. 1,00,000 at an incredibly low interest rate of 5% for their businesses.
Loan Increment: Successful repayment of the initial loan allows beneficiaries to access an increased loan amount of up to Rs. 2,00,000 at the same 5% interest rate.
Skill Training: The scheme also offers skill training opportunities for Artists and Craftsmen to enhance their abilities.
Stipend for Trainees: Trainees selected for skill training under the Pradhanmantri Vishwakarma Kaushal Samman Yojana will receive a stipend of Rs. 500 per day.
Financial Assistance for Tools: A financial assistance of Rs. 15,000 is provided to Craftspersons and Artisans to purchase advanced tools for their businesses.
Certificate and Identity Card: Beneficiaries will be issued PM Vishwakarma Certificates and Identity Cards for easy identification and recognition.
Traditional Trades: The scheme encompasses 18 traditional trades as recognized by the Government of India.
Coverage: It is estimated that more than 30 lakh families from 164 Backward Classes will be covered and benefit from the PM Vishwakarma Yojana.
Launch Date: The official launch of PM Vishwakarma Yojana by the Government of India is set for September 17, 2023.
